How to Specify Caterpillar Parts Without Guesswork

A reliable parts order is a serial number plus a confirmed part number. Everything else is a clue, not a match.

How to Specify Caterpillar Parts Without Guesswork

Caterpillar updates parts through the life of a machine. A hose, a seal, or an injector that was correct at build can have a later number. The way through that is the serial number and a current cross-reference, not a photo from another job.

A clean specification

  1. Read the machine and engine plates.
  2. List the group: engine, hydraulics, undercarriage, cooling.
  3. Add the old part number and how many you need.
  4. State OEM or aftermarket in the same message.

If you only have a sample, measure it and photograph the stamp. For seals and gaskets, the engine arrangement matters more than the outside shape.

Rukn Al Mufaddal Spare Parts LLC quotes from those details so the part that leaves Dubai is the one the machine can use.
